Nov.  7 is “Vote YES for Measure 2-110 Day.” Sure, there will be other things on the Election Day ballot — but nothing more important to all of us who love living here in Benton County than renewing the Health and Safety Levy.

Vote "yes" on Measure 2-110.

Renewing the levy isn’t about continuing a tax. It’s about providing vital services, and preventing harmful cuts.

Without the levy, we will surely put public safety at greater risk:

• Provable crimes will go unprosecuted, for want of district attorneys to handle the caseload,

• Convicted criminals will be set free, for lack of jail bed space here, and money to rent jail beds elsewhere,

• And around-the-clock crime prevention and fastest possible emergency responses will deteriorate, for lack of adequate funding for deputies’ patrols.

Without the levy, we will surely put public health in greater peril, as funding is cut for medical services that help prevent outbreaks of infectious diseases, and services are slashed for mental health, addiction treatment, and children’s health — care for the most vulnerable in Benton County.

Put your vote where your heart is. Keep Benton County a safe and healthy place to live.

Vote "yes" on Measure 2-110.
