Consumers Power Inc., announced last week that it is trying to locate former members of the cooperative whose capital credit checks issued in 2013 remain unclaimed. The checks are for members who received electric service from CPI in 1987.
CPI said the capital credit checks of the former members have been returned by the Postal Service as “undeliverable” or have otherwise been unclaimed.
The last possible date to claim the funds will be 5 p.m. Nov. 1. If not claimed by that date, CPI said the funds will be forfeited and can no longer be issued.
CPI has set up an "Unclaimed Capital Credits" area on its website at www.cpi.coop where searches by name or address can be done.
