FRIDAY, JAN. 19

SUSPICIOUS: Philomath Police responded at 3:20 p.m. to the 100 block of South Eighth Street for a report of an unknown male either photographing or videotaping a woman and her vehicle. The man was described as slender, 5-foot-11, short brown hair, glasses and wearing a brown-hooded sweatshirt.

DISPUTE: Philomath Police responded at 1 p.m. to the 1200 block of North 19th Street for a report of a neighborhood dispute.

SATURDAY, JAN. 20

ASSISTANCE: Philomath Police responded at 11:40 a.m. to the intersection of Highway 20 and Highway 34 to assist the Benton County Sheriff's Office with a hit-and-run crash.

SUNDAY, JAN. 21

WARRANT: Philomath Police arrested Shawn Newport, 50, of Philomath, at 9:12 p.m. in the 100 block of North Seventh Street on a warrant for probation violation through Benton County Circuit Court on an original charge of unlawful possession of methamphetamine.

DRUGS: Philomath Police cited and released Stanton Kittel, 34, of Albany, for unlawful possession of methamphetamine following a traffic stop at 9:45 p.m. on North Ninth Street.

LIVESTOCK: Benton County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to a report in the area of Grange Hall Road near milepost 1 of a bull in the roadway. The bull was located and later returned to his pasture with the help of a neighbor.

WARRANT: Benton County Sheriff's Office deputies arrested Tena Tuohy, 50, of Philomath, on a warrant out of Philomath Municipal Court for contempt of court.

CRASH: Benton County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to a noninjury crash on Bellfountain Road. A vehicle was driving south on Bellfountain approaching Llewellyn Road when it met an oncoming vehicle in the same lane. The motorist drove into a ditch on the east side of the road. The vehicle sustained damage to its front tire on the driver's side.

MONDAY, JAN. 22

DOG AT LARGE: Philomath Police transported a small, black dog to the Heartland Humane Society after it was brought in to the police station at 11 a.m. The dog had been found in the 700 block of McCall Street.

ANIMAL BITE: Philomath Police responded at 6:18 p.m. to the 600 block of North 12th Street for a report of a dog that bit a neighbor's dog.

DUII: Philomath Police arrested Bethany Knude, 47, of Corvallis, for driving under the influence of intoxicants following a traffic stop near the intersection of Highway 20 and Shrike Way. Knute's blood-alcohol content tested at 0.19 percent, more than twice the legal limit.

TUESDAY, JAN. 23

BURGLARY: Philomath Police responded to a report at 8:55 a.m. to a North 14th Street property under construction of equipment that had been stolen.

ANIMALS: Benton County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to a report of a goat attacked by a stray dog in a pasture on North Ninth Street. The dog was described as a medium-sized, short-coated terrier with a curly tail and wearing a red vest. The goat was taken to a veterinarian.

CRASH: Benton County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to a report at about 5:37 p.m. of a crash with injuries at Highway 20 and Norton Creek Road near Blodgett. According to a report, a vehicle turned north in front of a second vehicle headed west on the highway. The vehicles crashed head-on causing major damage to both. The drivers were transported to Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center. The driver of the vehicle making the turn was cited.

WEDNESDAY, JAN. 24

SUSPICIOUS: Philomath Police responded at 12:06 a.m. to the 2100 block of Applegate Street for a report of a suspicious individual seen in a driveway near a vehicle. Police contacted the individual and it was determined that he lived at the residence.

THURSDAY, JAN. 25

CRASH: Benton County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to a noninjury crash on Highway 20 near Lilly Hill Road. The driver said he lost control in snow and slid off the road.
