FRIDAY, MAY 4

REVOKED LICENSE: A Benton County sheriff’s deputy cited Benjamin Ross, 56, for driving with a revoked license, after a traffic stop at 11:30 p.m. on Highway 34 near Marys Peak Road. Ross was released on scene due to jail overcrowding.

BURGLARY: Sometime between 1 a.m. and 7 a.m., a burglar broke a window to a building on Tum Tum Road outside Blodgett, and took about $40 from a cash box that was inside a filing cabinet.

SATURDAY, MAY 5

TRAFFIC CRASH: Philomath Fire & Rescue medics transported a motorist to the hospital following a traffic crash at 6:32 p.m. at the intersection of 13th and Applegate streets.

SUNDAY, MAY 6

DUII: Philomath Police arrested Stephanie Watko, 25, of Corvallis, on a charge of driving under the influence of intoxicants at 5:59 p.m. on the 500 block of Main Street.

THEFT: A half of a tank of gas was siphoned from a vehicle sometime during the previous night on the 400 block of South 30th Street.

SUSPICIOUS PERSON: A Philomath police officer responded at 11:10 p.m. to a report of a man sitting in the roadway near the intersection of Highway 34 and Highway 20. The officer located and counseled the man, who was sitting just outside of the driving lane.

MONDAY, MAY 7

SINGLE-VEHICLE CRASH: A Benton County sheriff’s deputy cited an unidentified man for reckless driving after the motorist lost control of his vehicle and drove off the road at Highway 34 near Marys Peak Road. He was not injured.

TUESDAY, MAY 8

TWO-VEHICLE CRASH: A vehicle rear-ended another vehicle at 7:40 a.m. that was stopped in traffic at the intersection of Highway 20 and Highway 34. No one was injured, according to the Benton County Sheriff’s Office, and an unidentified driver was cited for following too closely.
