FRIDAY, OCT. 13

CIVILIAN CAR VS. PATROL CAR: A motorist took a turn too wide at the Philomath Fire Station at 7:47 a.m. and hit a parked Benton County sheriff deputy’s patrol vehicle. No one was injured, and damage to the vehicles was minimal.

SATURDAY, OCT. 14

DUII: A Benton County sheriff deputy arrested Lucas Scott Dixon, 20, of Alsea, on a charge of driving under the influence of intoxicants following a traffic stop at 9:29 p.m. near the intersection of 19th and Main streets. Dixon’s blood alcohol content reportedly measured 0.21 percent, more than double the legal limit. He and his 19-year-old passenger were both cited for being minors in possession of alcohol.

SUNDAY, OCT. 15

DUII: Philomath Police arrested Paige Bailey, 22, of Philomath, on a charge of driving under the influence of intoxicants following a traffic stop at 12:21 a.m. on the 5300 block of Reservoir Road. Bailey’s blood alcohol content reportedly measured 0.19 percent, more than double the legal limit.

DUII: Philomath Police responded at 5:09 p.m. for a disturbance at the Meet’N Place Tavern. The officer talked to David James Mannis, 62, who was reportedly visibly intoxicated and refused to participate in standardized field-sobriety tests. The officer cited and released Mannis, no city of residence listed, on a charge of driving under the influence of intoxicants.

MONDAY, OCT. 16

METH/ASSAULT: Philomath Police responded at 3 p.m. to a domestic disturbance at an address on the 2500 block of Newton Street. Police cited and released Eugene Raymond Parke, 53, of Philomath, on charges of physical harassment (domestic violence) and possession of methamphetamine.

WARRANT ARREST: Philomath Police arrested Tena Tuohy, 50, of Philomath, on a municipal court warrant for failing to comply with court orders on an original charge of first-degree criminal trespassing. The arrest took place following a traffic stop at 8:49 p.m. near the intersection of Old Peak Road and Abbey Lane.

TUESDAY, OCT. 17

SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY: Benton County sheriff deputies responded to an address on Willow Lane after a resident reported a stranger knocking on her back door while yelling, “Woman, open the door!” The culprit left the scene before deputies arrived. The media release did not indicate the time of day the incident occurred.

VEHICLE VS. PEDESTRIANS: Philomath Police responded at 6:40 p.m. to the Philomath City Park parking lot for a traffic crash involving a 16-year-old motorist and two 14-year-old pedestrians. One pedestrian suffered minor injuries and the other suffered serious injuries.

WEDNESDAY, OCT. 18

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Philomath Police cited Ronald Koetz, 37, of Alsea, for driving with a suspended license following a traffic stop at 3:40 p.m. on the 1500 block of College Street.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Philomath Police cited Cameron Smith, 31, of Springfield, for swerving, driving with a suspended driver’s license, and failing to carry and present a driver’s license following a traffic stop at 9:37 p.m. on the 100 block of North Seventh Street.

THURSDAY, OCT. 19

MINOR-IN-POSSESSION: Philomath Police was dispatched at 2:30 p.m. to Philomath High School for a report of a student who was visibly intoxicated by marijuana.
