SUNDAY, AUG. 27

OFFENSIVE LITTERING: Philomath police cited Naomi Notman, 33, transient, for offensive littering following an incident at 5:30 p.m. in the 3000 block of Main Street. Police said the woman was tearing up a book and throwing pages on the ground and into the street, and became very animated and agitated when approached. Police added that they had several run-ins with her earlier in the day.

SUNDAY, SEPT. 3

DRIVING WHILE SUSPENDED: Philomath police cited Todd Folkerts, 22, of Newport, for driving on a suspended license, speeding and failure to carry proof of insurance following a stop at 11:20 a.m. near Ninth Street and Applegate Street.

SATURDAY, SEPT. 9

DRIVING WHILE SUSPENDED: Philomath police cited Michael Saiville, 35, of Alsea, for driving on a suspended license, failure to carry proof of insurance and failure to carry the vehicle registration following a stop at 12:50 p.m. at Ninth Street and Applegate Street.

TUESDAY, SEPT. 12

CRAIGSLIST SCAM: Philomath police took a report at 3:30 p.m. from a woman who said an unknown person was trying to rent a house that was for sale.

WEDNESDAY, SEPT. 13

HARASSMENT: Philomath police responded to reports of alleged harassment at 7:58 p.m. at a local gas station and at 9:35 p.m. at a residence in the 500 block of South 18th Street. There were no arrests in either case.

THURSDAY, SEPT. 14

NEIGHBOR DISPUTE: Philomath police responded at 8:05 p.m. to a neighbor dispute in the 500 block of South 18th Street. Interviews revealed that an individual was experiencing a mental health issue.

LANDLORD DISPUTE: Philomath police responded at 9:11 p.m. to the 1000 block of North Pioneer Street for a report of a disturbance. Police provided the parties involved of the correct procedures for evictions along with contract information for resources.

WELFARE CHECK: Philomath police responded at 11 p.m. to the Philomath Post Office for a report of an individual sleeping in the post office box area. The man stated he had missed the bus to Newport and was waiting until morning for the next one. Police advised that he could not sleep at the post office.
