FRIDAY, SEPT. 1

NOISE COMPLAINT: Philomath Police responded to a noise complaint at 11:38 p.m. at an address on the 300 block of South 17th Street. Residents agreed to turn down their music.

SATURDAY, SEPT. 2

SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE: Philomath Police received a report at 2:29 a.m. of a suspicious vehicle parked near the intersection of Applegate Street and 26th Street. One of vehicle’s occupants was a resident of the house the car was parked in front of and there was no sign of suspicious activity.

SUNDAY, SEPT. 3

SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE: Philomath Police received a report at 11:55 p.m. of a suspicious vehicle parked with its lights on in the 100 block of South 21st Street. Police called the registered owner of the car, who said her daughter was borrowing the vehicle for the night and that she would get ahold of her daughter to shut off the lights.

TUESDAY, SEPT. 5

DUII (DRUGS): The Benton County Sheriff’s Office arrested Andrew Askew, 19, no city of residence listed, on a charge of driving under the influence of intoxicants (drugs) following a traffic stop at 12:24 a.m., 2 miles west of Philomath on Highway 20. A 17-year-old passenger was cited for being a minor in possession of marijuana.

THURSDAY, SEPT. 7

VEHICLE CRASH: Philomath Police responded at 11:16 p.m. to a vehicle accident at the intersection of 17th and Main streets.

WELFARE CHECK: Philomath Police performed a welfare check on a 5-year-old child who was walking home from school on Highway 20 near the Woodsman restaurant.

WARRANT ARREST: The Benton County Sheriff’s Office arrested Raul Hernandez, 21, no city of residence listed, on a Marion County warrant for allegedly violating a restraining order. The arrest took place at 9:02 p.m. near North 14th Street and Main Street.
