The 2018 Benton Lecture Series, "How Museums are Relevant: Stories from the Front Line," continues Monday, March 5, at the Benton County Historical Museum in Philomath.
Tiah Edmonson-Morton will present, "What Does a Brewer Look Like?" Since the establishment of the Oregon Hops & Brewing Archives at Oregon State University in 2013, Edmunson-Morton, who is the archivist for Instruction and Outreach, will share stories she’s gathered about women working in the beer industry.
Lectures begin at noon upstairs in the Moreland Gallery. Those planning to attend are encouraged to bring a brown bag lunch. Coffee and tea will be served. Lectures are free to historical society members and $5 for all others.
Coming up later in the month will be presentations by the University of Oregon's Tom Connoly on Kalapuya archaeology (March 12) and OSU's Kay Sagmiller on linking schools to museums (March 19).
