Mike passed away after a severe stroke.
Mike lived in many places including, Sacramento, California, Federal Way, Washington, Kailua, Hawaii, Philomath, and Dutch Harbor, Alaska.
Mike graduated from Philomath High School in 1977. Shortly after graduation, he moved to Dutch Harbor to work in the fishing industry.
Mike hung up his raingear after several years to make his home in Albany.
Mike loved music, books, cats, gardening, and cooking. He was a quiet man with a gentle soul. There were only a few things in this world that he didn’t like, Trump, TV, Trump, Trump and Oh, did I mention Trump!
Mike is survived by his father, Don Malcolm Sr. (Peggy); brother, Howard Malcolm (Patty); sister, Lisa Shumaker (Sam); and numerous nieces and nephews and their children.
He was preceded in death by his mother Esther; and brothers, Don Jr. (Moe), Larry (Diana) and Steve Malcolm.

A celebration of life will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. on December 16, 2017 in the Willamette room at the Holiday Inn Express in Corvallis.
