Sherman R. Lacy, 79, of Philomath, died December 20 in Albany.
He was born May 18, 1938 in Missouri. His family moved to Utah, then to Idaho.
He graduated from high School in Stanfield, Oregon.
They lived in Washington for a while, before setting in Corvallis where he met Marilyn. They were married June 2, 1969 in Corvallis.
Sherman collected coins and stamps. He enjoyed reading, woodworking, gardening and giving Marilyn a hard time.
He served in the US Army Reserves and retired as a custodian at Albany General Hospital.
He was a member of Four Square Church, and was attending church at Kings Circle Assembly of God.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn; a brother; and three sisters.
He is preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
A graveside funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, December 26 at Twin Oaks Memorial Gardens.
