Mid-Valley Women of Christ
MID-VALLEY WOMEN OF CHRIST, PROVIDED

Mid-Valley Women of Christ will host Bible studies in several cities beginning the week of Jan. 22, featuring a study of the life of King David titled, “The Longing in Me,” by Sheila Walsh.

In Philomath, classes will take place with New Life Fellowship at Peace Lutheran Church (2540 Applegate St.) from 9-10:30 a.m. Tuesdays.

The studies are free and open to women of all faiths. Participants can purchase a $10 companion workbook through the host churches and participate in small group discussion.

Classes offer hospitality, teaching, homework discussion and prayer at each location. Churches will have the option of showing clips from a DVD based on the life of King David, whose life issues and trials parallel our own. Child care will not be available at the Philomath location.

Every community Bible study offers a community outreach project to assist women. This winter's project, “Loving Your Community,” will focus on a drive to collect socks, hand-warmers, underwear, onesies, diapers and wipes to help residents in 21 mid-valley communities.
