The city of Philomath is looking for citizens to fill openings on four committees beginning in January.
The planning commission has three vacancies. The commission includes seven citizen volunteers who make decisions related to zoning, land use and development. The commission meets once per month as needed. Terms typically run four years.
There are five positions available on the city's budget committee, which is made up of seven citizens and the city council. The committee meets several times in the spring and receives budget updates throughout the year. Terms range from one to three years.
There are three positions available on the park advisory board. The board is made up of seven citizens who provide recommendations to the city’s public works committee. Terms are for three years.
There is one position available on the city’s tree board. The board makes decisions and recommendations related to the city’s tree ordinance and its enforcement.
