KNOXVILLE, Tenn. n Due to icy and snowy conditions at Lindsey Nelson Stadium and in the Knoxville area, the Oregon State baseball team's series finale against Tennessee was cancelled.

The Beavers (1-1) defeated the Volunteers 14-4 on Saturday after losing a heartbreaker 5-4 on Friday when they gave up two runs with two outs in the bottom of the ninth.

OSU will participate in the DeMarini Invitational beginning Thursday in Arizona. The Beavers open the tournament Thursday at noon against Northern Illinois, and also play Missouri and host Arizona State over four days.
