PORTLAND - John Adamson delivered a one-out single in the bottom of the 10th inning to lift the Oregon baseball team to a come-from-behind 3-2 victory over Oregon State at PGE Park on Saturday night.
The Ducks scored twice in the eighth to force extra innings before winning it in the 10th.
Caleb Tommasini worked a leadoff walk in the 10th and was sacrificed to second before Adamson came through with the single to even the Pacific-10 Conference series at a game each heading into today's finale at 1 p.m., also at PGE Park.
Oregon used a walk, hit batter and an infield single to load the bases in the eighth.
Oregon State reliever Josh Osich followed by walking two batters to force in the tying runs.
Osich was able to get out of the jam with a strikeout.
It appeared the Beavers would get out of the inning unscathed, but catcher Ryan Ortiz was unable to hold on to a foul tip that would have been strike three.
Oregon State had taken a 2-0 lead after scoring single runs in the seventh and eighth innings.
Oregon State attempted to regain the lead in the top of the ninth as Joey Wong worked a walk and went to second on a passed ball.
But Adalberto Santos flied out to the warning track in right to end the threat.
Oregon went 1-2-3 in the ninth to force extra innings.
