Oregon State senior Marie Gulich has gotten off to a strong start to the season.
The Beavers' 6-foot-5 center is averaging a team-best 15.2 points per game while adding 8.0 rebounds a contest.
On Wednesday, Gulich was named to the 50-player Naismith Trophy watch list. The award recognizes the national player of the year.
Gulich is shooting 59.3 percent from the floor and is third nationally with 4.4 blocks per game. She has scored at least 15 points in four of Oregon State's five games this season, and has blocked at least three shots in every contest.
An all-Pac-12 first-team selection last season, Gulich was named to the inaugural Lisa Leslie Award watch list earlier this year as one of the nation's top centers.
The Naismith Trophy committee will release its Midseason 30 on Feb. 12.
