HOUSTON - Sophomore forward Kirsten Tilleman posted her first career double-double and the Oregon State women's basketball team concluded a two-game road trip with a 70-42 victory over Houston Baptist on Sunday at Sharp Gymnasium.

Tilleman set career-highs in points (26) and rebounds (13). She set her previous scoring high (119) in the season-opener against Cal Poly back on Nov 13; her previous rebounding high was 10, on two occasions. She was 9-for-11 from the field and 8-for-11 from the foul line.

Kate Lanz and Talisa Rhea both scored eight points for the Beavers (2-1), who bounced back from a 49-32 loss at Houston on Thursday by shooting a season-high 54 percent from the field and 78.9 percent from the foul line. OSU also outrebounded the Huskies 41-22 and had a 40-12 points-in-the-paint advantage.

Tilleman had 18 points in the first half to help stake the Beavers to a 43-21 halftime lead. OSU pulled away with an 18-2 run that expanded a 15-12 lead with 11:16 remaining to 33-14 at the media break inside the four-minute mark.

The Beavers play Belmont at 3 p.m. Friday at the Northern Arizona Thanksgiving Classic in Flagstaff, Ariz. Siena and the host Lumberjacks play the other game.
