Oregon State football coach Mike Riley named his captains for the fall season on Friday.
They are seniors cornerback Jordan Poyer, defensive tackle Andrew Seumalo and receiver Markus Wheaton, and sophomore quarterback Sean Mannion.
Mannion is the first sophomore in program history to be named a captain. He started 10 games as a freshman and threw for 3,328 yards and 16 touchdowns for a 64.5 percent completion rate.
Wheaton has 1,750 career receiving yards, while Poyer had four interceptions last year in his first year as a starter. Poyer is also one of the top return men in the country.
Seumalo started 11 games last season, and has been part of the rotation on the defensive line the previous two years.
