Former Oregon State receiver Seth Collins was arraigned Thursday in Benton County Circuit Court on a charge of fourth-degree assault.
Collins was also given his official release from the Oregon State football team on Thursday.
The charge involves an incident between Collins and a 19-year-old woman at a party on Oct. 8.
Collins allegedly caused the woman bodily harm and she reportedly wound up with a swollen and cut lip.
Collins did not play again during the season for what was announced as an unspecified illness.
He was suspended from the Oregon State football team on Nov. 21, which was not reported publicly.
