The No. 12 Oregon State gymnastics team will compete at California on Saturday.

The Beavers hold an 89-5 lead in the all-time series. However, the Bears have been on the rise of late and earned a victory over OSU at the Pac-12 Championships in 2014. Since then, Oregon State has defeated Cal in each of the last four meetings.

Last Saturday, the Beavers put another notch in their belt by knocking off previously unbeaten Utah in walk-off fashion, 196.550-196.525. Senior All-American Kaytianna McMillan scored 9.925 in the meet's final routine to secure the victory for the Beavers.

Despite the win over the then-No. 4 Utes, the Beavers slipped to No. 12 in this week's rankings, which are score based. If you were to throw out the score from the Beavers' clunker at Seattle Pacific in Week 2, they would be ranked eighth.

OSU never trailed in the meet after taking an opening rotation lead 49.075-48.975 and held strong the rest of the afternoon.

It was a team effort as Isis Lowery and Madeline Gardiner each scored 9.875s to set up McMillan's final routine. Oregon State hit all 24 routines for the third time in four meets and McMillan won or tied four events (bars, beam, floor and all-around). Erika Aufiero scored 9.85 on the bars and Dani Dessaints added a 9.875 on the beam to tie for the event titles.

Last Saturday's win was the first over Utah since the 2013 Pac-12 Championships, although the teams tied for second at last year's conference meet.
