AUSTIN, Texas — Oregon State men’s soccer midfielder Nathan Braaten was named to the 2017 Academic All-America second team by the College Sports Information Directors of America on Thursday.
The junior adds another distinguished award to his name after carrying a 4.0 GPA in his third season as a Beaver while pursuing a degree in finance. Braaten now boasts two Pac-12 All-Academic first-team selections and two CoSIDA Academic All-District awards in addition to his CoSIDA Academic All-American status.
Braaten joins an exclusive club at Oregon State as he is one of four members of the men’s soccer program to be named to the CoSIDA Academic All-American teams.
On the 2017 CoSIDA Academic All-American teams, Braaten is one of 15 student-athletes to boast a perfect 4.0 GPA.
