PALM SPRINGS, Calif. — Oregon State scored two runs in the top of the eight to take a 4-2 win against No. 16 Oklahoma State at the Mary Nutter Classic.

Michelle Sass knocked a two-out single up the middle to score Mayu Molina and Missy Nunes to give the Beavers the win.

It was the second win for the Beavers over the Cowboys this season.

The Beavers (8-4) led 2-0 after three but the Cowboys worked their way back in it and sent it into extra innings with a run in the seventh.

McKenna Arriola, Chance Burden and Jessica Garcia all had two hits for the Beavers.

OSU also played Bethune-Cookman in a late game on Thursday.

The Beavers rolled to an 11-2 win. Sass and Garcia both had three hits, Garcia had two RBIs and Nunes homered for OSU.

The Beavers will continue play at the tournament on Friday with a game against No. 11 Tennessee.
