EUGENE — Shannon Rhodes drove in five runs and Megan Kleist tossed a one-hitter as the No. 6 Oregon softball team swept the Civil War series against Oregon State with a 7-0 Pac-12 win at Jane Sanders Stadium on Sunday.

The Ducks (41-6, 14-6) have now won 15 straight against the Beavers (24-22. 6-12).

Kayleen Shafer had the Beavers’ lone hit, a single in third inning. McKenna Arriola also walked as the Beavers had just two base runners.

Kleist needed just 83 pitches to pick up the shutout. She struck out six while allowing the one hit and one walk.

The Ducks jumped out to a quick 3-0 lead in the first inning. A bunt single and hit batter set Oregon up with two outs.  Rhodes delivered with a three-run homer to center.

Oregon tacked on a run in the third as Rhodes stole second and Gwen Svekis scored on an error on the play.

The Ducks made it 6-0 in the fifth. Two walks and a double steal put runners at second and third and Rhodes once again came through, this time with a two-run single to right-center.

Oregon tacked on a run in the sixth on a fielder’s choice.
