ATLANTA, Ga. — Oregon State senior Sammy Harrison finished 55th in the 200-yard freestyle at the NCAA Championships from the McAuley Aquatic Center.
Harrison competed in lane eight of the second heat of the 200-yard freestyle preliminaries. She finished with a time of 1:47.73, the fifth-fastest time in program history.
Harrison owns the second-best time in school history, clocking a time of 1:46.70 last season. She recorded a time of 1:47.13 at the Pac-12 Championships this season, and with today’s result, owns three of the top five times in the event all-time at Oregon State.
Harrison was invited to swim the event thanks to her NCAA cut times in the 500-yard freestyle and the 1,650-yard freestyle.
Harrison will wrap up her NCAA Championships campaign with her signature event, the 1,650-yard freestyle, on Saturday.
