Oregon State’s Sammie Harrison won two events Friday but Washington State defeated the Beavers 187-75 in a Pacific-12 Conference women's swimming dual at Stevens Natatorium.
Harrison won the 1,000-yard freestyle in 9:52.87 and the 500 freestyle in 4:52.68, placed third in the 100 freestyle in 52.81 and swan lead leg on the second-place 400 freestyle relay, which placed second.
The Cougars won the other nine events and swept the three relays.
OSU’s Amani Amr was second in the 200 backstroke in 2:04.55. Czarina Isleta was second in the 200 individual medley in 2:10, third in the 100 breaststroke in 1:06.29 and third in the 200 breaststroke in 2:21.72.
Seniors Dakota Bloch and Korina Steinbergs were honored prior to the meet, which was part of the Northwest Rivalry Series, brought to you by Alaska.
The Beavers conclude a three-meet homestand on Jan. 31 with an 11 a.m. dual against Idaho at Osborn Aquatic Center. They conclude the regular season Feb. 6 at Utah.
