The Oregon State volleyball program added SMU transfer Allison Hughes on Tuesday. She will arrive in Corvallis this summer with three seasons of eligibility remaining.

“She is a highly-accomplished setter who has a year of college experience under her belt, coach Mark Barnard said. "She will be a valuable addition to this team not only because of her experience but also for her exuberance in the way she plays the game. ... Allison is a natural leader and I look forward to her doing some stellar things over the coming years.”

Hughes, a native of Cypress, Texas, played one season at SMU appearing in 13 matches and 32 total sets. She accumulated 127 assists including five matches in which she tallied 15 assists or more. She set a season-best with 23 assists against TCU.
