Kathy Gellatly earned all-tournament honors while leading the Linn-Benton volleyball team to the championship of an eight-team tournament at Bellevue Community College over the weekend.

A sophomore from Philomath, Gellatly is an outside hitter.

LB won four of five matches at Bellevue on Sept. 2 and 3, bouncing back from a 17-30, 30-24, 15-13 loss to Whatcom to sweep Walla Walla, Tacoma, and Green River before topping Walla Walla 24-30, 30-28, 15-11 in the championship match.

LB opened the season with a third-place finish at Chemeketa on Aug. 31 during an eight team tourney. The Roadrunners defeated Chemeketa and Columbia Basin before falling to Southwestern Oregon, then defeated Olympic before a final loss to Mt. Hood.

Setter Monica Samsa made the all-star team.
