Cooper Getsfrid had 16 points and hit 6 of 12 shots, but the Linn-Benton Community College men’s basketball team dropped an 85-71 home decision to Umpqua on Wednesday in a NWAC South Division game.
The Roadrunners (16-7, 6-4) were coming off a big home win over division-leading Portland on Saturday and had won four straight.
LB was just 25 for 71 from the floor, including 3 for 19 from 3, in the loss.
Trent Van Cleave added 13 points and Taylor Jensen 10 for the Roadrunners, who trailed 42-33 at the half.
Umpqua had four players in double figures and was 10 for 25 from 3.
LB is at Clark at 4 p.m. Saturday.
The Linn-Benton women fell behind early and never recovered in dropping an 89-42 decision to first place Umpqua in a NWAC South Division game.
The Roadrunners (8-14, 3-7) trailed 24-12 after one and 46-21 at the half.
Madeline Oakden led LB with 11 points while Courtney Landis had nine and Kelsie Henry eight.
The Roadrunners were just 18 for 74 from the field (24.3 percent), including 3 for 23 from 3 (13 percent).
Umpqua was 38 for 76 from the floor overall and 9 for 18 from 3.
