Women’s soccer

Freshman forward Alli Young (Crescent Valley) scored a goal Saturday in her first collegiate game, a 5-2 Willamette home win against Evergreen State in Salem.

Young’s 57 minutes played were second most on the team.


Senior defender Katy Schmidt (Crescent Valley) played all 104 minutes Sunday in Brown’s 3-2 double-overtime win at Rhode Island in Kingston.

Friday, she took one shot in a 2-1 overtime home win against Maine in Providence, Rhode Island.


Megan Green (Crescent Valley) allowed a goal Aug. 24 while playing one half of Oregon Tech’s 2-0 loss at Southern Oregon in Ashland.


Haylie Bennett (Philomath) was named to the Beaver State Classic all-tournament team after helping Oregon State win three home matches last weekend.

Bennett had a combined 23 kills, 10 block assists, seven digs and two solo blocks as the Beavers swept Idaho and Kansas State and defeated Pacific in four sets.

Teammate Maddy Gravley (Santiam Christian) had a combined 12 kills, 10 block assists, one solo block, one assist and one dig in the three matches.


Hadley Heck (Crescent Valley) had a combined 10 digs, one assist and once service ace Saturday in Portland State’s two matches in San Diego. The Vikings lost to San Diego in three sets and swept Eastern Kentucky in three.


Hannah Bogatin (Corvallis) has a team-high 87 assists plus 25 digs, three aces and a kill in Southern Oregon’s four matches this season.

Teammate Malie Rube (Crescent Valley) is second on the team in kills (40) and digs (55) with eight assists, eight aces and three block assists. The Raiders are 2-2.


Madison McLain (Santiam Christian) had a combined 43 assists, 15 digs, three kills and two aces in Corban’s two wins at the Red Raider Classic in Orange City, Iowa.

The Warriors swept Doane in three sets and got past Northwestern (Iowa) in five.

Friday, McLain had a combined 55 assists and 12 digs in a pair of wins. Corban beat Morningside in five sets and Dakota Wesleyan in three.


Bella Smith (Santiam Christian) had a team-high 19 digs, eight assists and one kill Monday in Oregon Tech’s five-set loss at Concordia in Portland.

Friday, she had 10 digs, one kill, one ace and an assist in a four-set loss to William Jessup in Redding, California.

Smith had a combined 20 digs and one assist Aug. 24 in three-set sweeps of West Coast Baptist and Simpson in Redding.

Men’s soccer

Jack Cuevas (Corvallis) made six saves in goal Aug. 24 in Chemeketa’s 4-4 tie at Spokane (Washington).


Trenton Luebbert (Crescent Valley) took two shots Friday in Rogue’s 1-0 loss to Bellevue in Tukwila, Washington.
