Men’s basketball

Ben DeSaulnier (Philomath) had 16 points, four rebounds and five assists Tuesday for Southern Oregon in a 95-63 win at New Hope Christian in Eugene.

DeSaulnier had 26 points — including four 3-pointers and was 8 for 9 at the free-throw line — plus four rebounds, three assists and three steals Saturday in a 90-68 win at Walla Walla in College Place, Washington.

In that game, DeSaulnier, a senior guard, moved into second place on the Raiders’ all-time scoring list.

Friday, he had nine points and one rebound in a 73-70 loss at Walla Walla.

DeSaulnier had 13 points, five rebounds, one assist and one steal Jan. 31 in an 86-79 home loss to Oregon Tech in Ashland.


Trey Ecker (Philomath) had 21 points, including five 3-pointers, with two rebounds and one assist Saturday as host Linn-Benton knocked off top-ranked Portland 82-63.

Teammate Riley Davis (Philomath) added six points, four rebounds, one assist and one steal.

Ecker had nine points, four rebounds, five assist and a steal Jan. 31 in a 90-86 overtime home win against Southwestern Oregon. Davis had six points, six rebounds, two assists and one steal.


Tanner Sanders (Crescent Valley) had one rebound Feb. 1 in Oregon State’s 80-71 loss at Stanford.

Women’s basketball

Leslie Robinson (Corvallis) had 14 points, nine rebounds, five assists and two steals Saturday in Princeton’s 77-62 win at Brown in Providence, Rhode Island.

She had 18 points, nine rebounds, one assist and two steals Friday in a 73-59 loss at Yale in New Haven, Connecticut.


Jessica Sexson (Crescent Valley) had 10 points, five rebounds, six assists and a steal Saturday in Eastern Oregon’s 96-58 home win against Evergreen State in La Grande.

Friday, she had seven points, three rebounds, four assists and one steal in a 97-63 home win versus Northwest.

The seventh-ranked Mounties (23-2, 16-0) have won 17 straight games.


Maddi Bartholomew (Corvallis) had five rebounds and two assists Saturday in Northwest Christian’s 71-50 home win against Multnomah in Eugene.

She had one rebound and two blocks Friday in a 76-67 home win versus Warner Pacific.


Grace Corbin (Corvallis) had two points and two rebounds Saturday in Southern Oregon’s 83-28 win at Walla Walla in College Place, Washington.

Friday, Corbin had four points, one rebound and two steals in a 75-46 win at Walla Walla.

The No. 9 Raiders (22-2, 14-2) have won 11 of their last 12 games.


Darren Crosby (Santiam Christian) pitched 2⅔ innings of scoreless relief with two hits allowed, one strikeout and no walks Friday in Whitworth’s 6-1 season-opening win against East Texas Baptist at the Gents Baseball Classic in Shreveport, Louisiana.


Blaise Sims (Crescent Valley) was 0 for 2 Friday in Colorado School of Mines’ season-opening 3-0 loss to Texas A&M-Kingsville at Minute Maid Park in Houston.

Men’s tennis

Jamie Fisher (Crescent Valley) teamed with Carlos Donat for a 6-4 win at third doubles Saturday in Portland’s 7-0 win against Portland State.

Fisher and Donat also won at third doubles Feb. 1, with a 6-2 decision in the Pilots’ 6-1 victory against Princeton in Tualatin.


Nicole Whitney (Santiam Christian) was a combined 0 for 2 with a walk Friday in San Diego Christian’s doubleheader home split with Embry-Riddle. The Hawks won the first game 7-5 and lost the second 4-0.
