LEBANON SWIMMERS PLACE: Lebanon Aquatic Club swimmers placed in five events at the State Championship swim meets for ages 10 and under, held Feb. 8-9 at Willamalane pool in Springfield.
The girls four-swimmer relay team placed fifth in the freestyle relay. The boys were sixth in both their freestyle and medley relay races.
Individual event placers were Mariah Alley, with a fifth place in the 8-and-under 25-yard backstroke; and Bradley Carroll, with a sixth place in the age 8-and-under 50-yard breaststroke.
The club will host a four-team Columbia Basin Swim League Championship meet March 15-16 at the Lebanon Community Pool, and seeks donations of items to raffle at a fund-raiser there.
Club president Shannon Phillips says the youth swim club hopes the raffle will raise funds to cover awards and prizes for this season's swimmers.
"This is a great opportunity for our community to support our local swimmer," she said.
Phillips says theme baskets and individual items will be included in the raffle. Anyone with items to donate can call assistant LAC coach Kathy Benzo at 541-258-3813.
