Quarterbacks
B
Sean Canfield didn't start out as crisp as usual, but did what he needed. There were long passes and smart dump offs.
Running backs
A
Jacquizz Rodgers added passing to his Wildcat formation plays, throwing a TD pass. He did his usual running. Ryan McCants was solid.
Wide receivers
B
James Rodgers had another stellar game. Damola Adeniji is a great secondary guy. TE Brady Camp was sneaky with the TD from Quizz.
Offensive line
A
Canfield took a sack because he held the ball way too long. Other than that there was running room and time to pass.
Defensive line
B-
There was enough pressure to make the QBs uncomfortable and force fumbles early. Then it went away as UCLA made its comeback.
Linebackers
A
Dwight Roberson had a good game. UCLA's running game couldn't do anything on the Beavers. The group helped out in pass coverage.
Secondary
B-
When the ball got off, the secondary contained Bruins until the fourth quarter. The Bruins rallied to tie the game thanks to the passing game.
Special teams
A-
PK Justin Kahut and P Johnny Hekker had good games. The coverage contained UCLA and the return game helped in field position.
Coaching
A
This was an example of the coaching staff having prepared the players for everything. The Beavers were efficient and improved.
