Oregon State wide receiver Sammie Stroughter and safety Al Afalava were added to the East-West Shrine Game west roster on Thursday.

They join cornerback Brandon Hughes and defensive end Victor Butler in the Jan. 17 game in Houston.

The Beavers have six players in postseason all-star games, including offensive lineman Andy Levitre and cornerback Keenan Lewis in the Jan. 24 Senior Bowl in Mobile, Ala.

Rodgers honors

Running back Jacquizz Rogers was named to the Football Writers Association of America Freshman All-American team. That honor goes with the Pacific-10 Conference Offensive Player and Freshman of the Year, and freshman of the year from the Sporting News and CBS Sports.com.
