ALSEA - Tyson Schreiber scored on two long runs and threw a touchdown pass, but Alsea High couldn't stay with Perrydale in the 74-20 Special District 1 loss at home on Friday.
Schreiber scored on runs of 55 and 75 yards and connected with Zeb Olsen for a 55-yard TD pass.
"Schreiber played well," AHS coach Robert Webb said. "We have a lot of young kids who are still learning a lot of positions.
"They are getting better. We've played two of the best teams in the league as far as I'm concerned. It's been a pretty tough schedule for the first little bit."
Alsea (0-3, 0-2) is at Portland Lutheran on Oct. 4.
