ALSEA - Alsea High's Tyson Schreiber scored five touchdowns and had 413 all-purpose yards on Friday night to lead the Wolverines to a 48-24 victory over Jewell in a Special District 1 football game at Vernon Field.
Schreiber scored on runs of 73, 60, 20 and 4 yards, a 32-yard interception return and a two-point conversion. Zeb Olsen added two scores and rushed 13 times for 110 yards.
The game was tied 6-6 at halftime and Alsea led only 20-12 heading into the fourth quarter. However, Alsea closed with a 24-12 rush to break the game open.
Alsea concludes its season at Country Christian on Oct. 31.
