LOWELL n Hallie Pedder had nine kills and 10 aces to lead Alsea to a 3-1 victory over Lowell on Wednesday in a Mountain West Conference volleyball match.
Game scores were 25-17, 25-16, 23-25, 25-21.
"The girls played really well first couple games, then their crowd got into it and they backed down a little," Alsea coach Tiffany Schreiber said. "But they pulled through.
"It was definitely a tough match."
Violet Cathcart had eight blocks and Andrea Knudson added eight kills for Alsea
(10-0), which travels to Mohawk today.

SALEM n The Eagles had a strong service match in the PacWest Conference win.
Game scores were 25-9, 25-10, 25-5. SC (12-4 overall, 8-0) had 19 aces.
Whitney Hightower had six.
Anna Wruck added 10 kills and Kiersten Hendrix had 19 assists for the Eagles.
SC plays at Creswell on Monday. Creswell is second in the PacWest standings.
