WOODBURN - Woodburn High scored goals in each half and held on for a 2-0 Mid-Willamette Conference boys soccer win over Crescent Valley on Tuesday.
The Bulldogs (6-0) wrap up at least a share of the MWC crown and will take the top seed from the conference into the 5A playoffs regardless of how they do Thursday.
CV trailed 2-0 late but had a penalty kick that could have sliced Woodburn's lead in half with about 10 minutes to play. The shot was saved and Woodburn held on.
CV coach Casey Fries said the Raiders (6-7, 4-2) had some chances throughout the match.
"We played well, we just were not economical," he said. "We had six or seven really good chances, we just couldn't get the ball on frame."
A defensive lapse led to the first goal 15 minutes in, Fries said.
CV wraps up the regular season at South Albany on Thursday. The Raiders will be the third seed from the MWC to the 5A playoffs.

CHS (7-3-3, 5-1) didn't get on the board until the 31st minute when Gio Orozco scored off an assist from Brian Cronk. Cronk added a goal of his own in the 35th minute to stake the Spartans to a 2-0 halftime lead.
"Lebanon attacked the back end well tonight," CHS coach John Callahan said. "So it took us awhile to get going, but we finally broke through."
Ivan Sanchez added two goals for CHS, the last during a rare opportunity at forward. He's normally the Spartans' starting keeper.
Corvallis plays at Dallas on Thursday at 3:15 p.m.

LEBANON - Corvallis High scored all its goals in the first half en route to a 5-0 Mid-Willamette Conference win over Lebanon.
Whitney Redberg got CHS (9-2-2, 5-0-1) on the board in the eighth minute. Her sister McKenzie added another score two minutes later.
"It was a great start for us," CHS coach Dan Finnen said. "We had to make several adjustments because we lost Lani Penner to a broken arm last week in the West Albany game, so a lot of players were playing out of position."
McKenzie Redberg added another goal in the 23rd minute and Holly Roush added the final two goals for the Spartans.
"We dominated play pretty much throughout the whole game," Finnen said. "We played with good intensity."
Corvallis hosts Dallas on Thursday at 6 p.m. at Taylor Field.
