ALBANY - West Albany used stingy pitching and solid hitting to win a pair of Mid-Willamette Conference baseball games over Lebanon on Saturday.
The doubleheader was played due to rainouts earlier in the week.
In the first game, Tyler George hit solo home runs in the third and fifth innings to lead the Bulldogs to victory.
West Albany starter Jeremy Burright gave up just one run on three hits with nine strikeouts and two walks.
Ben Cramlet went the distance for the Warriors, striking out one with no walks.
In the second game, George pitched five shutout innings as the Bulldogs rolled to an 8-1 victory.
West Albany (3-2, 3-0 MWC ) hosts Hood River on Monday. Lebanon (0-3 MWC) hosts The Dalles/Wahtonka on Monday.

Philomath splits twinbill
PHILOMATH - Philomath High pitchers allowed just five hits in 16 innings on Saturday as the Warriors
(4-2) split a baseball doubleheader with Pleasant Hill.
Philomath lost the opener 1-0 in nine innings but won the nightcap 8-6.
Josh Bitterman had four hits and two RBIs in the two games and Matt Hill had a homer, three hits and four RBIs in the second game for the Warriors, who play host to Junction City at noon on Wednesday.
