HILLSBORO - West Albany advanced to the Class 5A state volleyball tournament on Saturday night with a 3-2, come-from-behind victory over Glencoe.

Game scores were 28-26, 17-25, 23-25, 25-11 and 15-13.

The Bulldogs will play Ashland at Liberty High School on Friday in the quarterfinals.

Mona Goudarzian had 17 kills, 17 digs and two blocks, Rachael Cox had 11 digs, 18 assists and four aces and Emily Yoder had 16 kills for WAHS.

Monroe 3,

De La Salle 0

MONROE - Monroe High advanced to the Class 2A state volleyball tournament with a

3-0 victory over De La Salle.

Game scores were 25-18, 25-17 and 25-20.

The Dragons will play the winner of Saturday night's match between Union and Blanchet at 1:15 p.m. Friday in the quarterfinals at Pacific University in Forest Grove.

McKenzie Warden had two aces and seven kills, Tessa Stroda 17 assists and Clara Crocker two aces and five kills for Monroe.

Burns 3,

Jefferson 0

BURNS - Burns High ended Jefferson's season with a 3-0 victory in the state Class 3A playoffs. Game scores were 25-16, 25-10 and 25-8.

Brianna Looney had seven kills and four blocks and Alli Grizzel had six assists and three digs for the Lions.

Santiam Christian 3, Willamina 0

ADAIR VILLAGE - Santiam Christian advanced to the Class 3A state tournament with the 25-14, 25-9, 25-15 victory. The Eagles play Cascade Christian at 10 a.m. Friday at Lane Community College.

Tayla Woods had 19 kills and 11 aces, Anna Wruck eight kills and three blocks, Kiersten Hendrix 21 assists, 17 digs and five aces and Courtney Towery 15 digs for SC.
