SALEM - Santiam Christian outscored Sheridan 19-10 in the last six and a half minutes Saturday to claim a 65-56 win in the fourth-place game of the 3A state boys basketball tournament at Willamette University.
Derek Howerton led the Eagles (23-6) with 21 points and seven rebounds. Demetri Howerton added 12 points and five rebounds and Cory DeKruyf had eight points and a game-high 11 rebounds.
Greg Butler had 21 points for Sheridan (23-6).
Santiam Christian bounced back from a first-round loss to Horizon Christian to win twice and take fourth. Sheridan finished sixth.
Saturday, the Eagles took the lead at 6-4 on a Derek Howerton 3-pointer three minutes into the game. They didn't give up the lead until Sheridan tied it at 46 with seven minutes left in the game.
SC pulled away from there and led by as many as eight points.

PENDLETON - East Linn's season ended with a sixth-place finish as the Eagles fell to Oakland in the fourth-place game, 49-38, at the Pendleton Convention Center.
East Linn (15-13) trailed 29-27 at the end of the third quarter. However, it was outscored 20-11 in the fourth quarter.
The Eagles were hurt by a poor shooting performance. They shot 33 percent from the field, 17 percent from beyond the arc and 50 percent from the free-throw line.
Kyle Kruesi finished with 16 points for the Eagles, while Keegan McPartlin had nine rebounds.
Colton Baker scored a game-high 20 points and pulled down 17 rebounds to lead Oakland.
