The Philomath High baseball team swept a nonleague doubleheader with Stayton on Tuesday at home, 5-2 and 13-9.

Daniel Murphree led the Warriors (2-3) throughout, going 4-for-5 with a home run and three doubles.

Trevor Motter broke open a tied first game with a three-run home run in the sixth inning. Jordan Keller pitched six strong innings for the win in that game.

Philomath plays a doubleheader at noon Saturday at Siuslaw.
