SILETZ — Eddyville turned up the pressure in the fourth quarter and nailed down a 29-23 Mountain West League victory at Siletz Valley on Wednesday.

Breanna Jones scored 12 points and grabbed seven rebounds while dishing out five assists and coming away with five steals to lead the Wolverines. Rachel Faxon also had seven boards.

“The good thing is even aftergiving up the lead we didn’t panic,” Eddyville coach Shawn Ferschweiler said. “When the fourth quarter came, we switched defenses, picked up the pressure and it energized us.”

Eddyville responded with steals that led to easy baskets and players drawing fouls inside. In the fourth, the Wolverines converted on 5 of 6 free-throw opportunities.

Eddyville (6-7, 3-5) will head to Crow on Friday.
