ALBANY — The Corvallis High girls basketball team saw its three-game winning streak come to an end on Friday night with a a 44-42 Mid-Willamette Conference loss to South Albany in both teams' final regular-season game.
The Spartans (10-14, 7-7) will take part in a play-in game next Tuesday.
Brookings 68, Philomath 38
BROOKINGS — Philomath couldn’t slow down Brookings' high-powered offense as the Warriors fell in the 4A play-in game.
Philomath was led by Emma Pankalla’s 10 points, while Bree Couture added eight and Oliva Jahn-McLaren seven.
“I was always impressed with our strength and determination through a challenging season,” coach Shelly Brown said. “They grew a lot personally and athletically over the course of the season.”
The Warriors (10-14, 1-9) have concluded their season.

SALEM — Santiam Christian couldn’t keep pace with the No. 1 seed in the 3A playoffs as the Eagles fell to Salem Academy.
The Eagles (10-13, 7-5) have concluded their season.
Days Creek 48, Alsea 39
DAYS CREEK — Alsea’s season came to an end in the second round of the 1A playoffs.
Carlee Begley had seven points and six rebounds, and Lexie Oleman had seven points and five rebounds for Alsea.
The Wolverines (14-8, 10-2) have concluded their season.
