ADAIR VILLAGE — Santiam Christian jumped out to a 29-0 lead after the first quarter and cruised to a 51-13 win over Illinois Valley on Friday.

Grant Carley was 13-for-24 passing for 155 yards with two touchdowns and one interception for the Eagles.

Jason Manzi had three catches for 50 yards with two TDs and Conrad Carter added five catches for 42 yards.

Luke Jantzi had 11 carries for 68 yards and a TD and Jackson Connor recovered a fumble in the end zone.

SC (2-0) is at Sheridan next Friday. 

North Bend 54, Philomath 7

NORTH BEND — Philomath scored first on a 12-yard run by Dakota Kantor but North Bend dominated from that point on in the nonleague game.

Kenan Conner led the Warriors’ rushing game with 42 yards on 13 carries; Kantor and Brooks Stearns had 24 yards each. Conner completed 9 of 17 passes for 99 yards; Matt Hamilton had three catches for 65 yards; and Tony Rath four for 11 yards.

Philomath (1-1) resumes nonleague play at Astoria on Friday.

St. Paul 42, Monroe 12

ST. PAUL — Zach young scored twice and Parker Wynn went over the century mark in the Dragons’ road loss.

Young had a 12-yard run and caught an 8-yard TD pass from Kai Garber in the third quarter for Monroe, who falls to 1-1.

Wynn was the workhorse for the Dragons, rushing for 101 yards on 14 attempts.

Monroe is at Kennedy next Friday.

Boys soccer

The Corvallis High boys soccer team cruised to a 9-0 win over Mountain View on Friday.

David Nazario-Avalos had three goals and one assist, Edgar Monroy added two goals and one assist and Avery Whipple netted two goals and had three assists.

Dylan Heppell and Josh Catzin had the other two goals for the Spartans.

It was Mountain View’s first game of the season.

The Spartans (2-0) host Bend at 11 a.m. on Saturday.

Crescent Valley 4, Bend 3

The Raiders improved to 2-0 with the home win.

CV hosts Mountain View at 11 a.m. on Saturday.
