The final Oregon School Ski Association slalom and giant slalom ski races of the season took place last weekend with the season awards handed out for the top 15 racers in slalom, giant slalom and overall.
Philomath’s Luc Barnes was fourth overall for boys and Crescent Valley’s Mikayla Chen was 14th overall for the girls.
In this weekend’s racers, Corvallis’ Alex Barth was 16th in the slalom while Colton Kalmar (35th), Colin Paul (41st), Wesley Peterson (51st) and Ethan Paul (52nd) placed for the Spartans.
In the girls slalom, Chen was 10th while teammates Savanana Freeman (30th), Molly Card 31st and Katie Folgate (33rd) placed. Corvallis’ Anna Keon was 26th and Isabella Gambatese was 32nd.
In the boys giant Slalom, Barnes was fifth while teammates Trevin de Nero (36th) and Reagan Shaeffer (49th) placed.
Placing for Corvallis were Peterson (27th), Marley Debrito (32nd), Barth (39th), Kalmar (48th), Thomas Harris (50), Ethan Paul (54th), Colin Paul (61st), William Peterson (65th) and Nick Linik (69th).
CV’s Will Benning was 63rd and Charlie Benning 64th.
In the girls giant slalom, Chen was 13th and Keon 29th.
Also placing for CV were Karsyn Britsch (32nd), Freeman (35th), Folgate (39th) and Card (40th). Gambatese was 38th and Julia Keon 43rd for CHS.
