The competitors for the 5A swim meet have been finalized and Corvallis High and Crescent Valley will have plenty of participants.
The Corvallis High boys 200 freestyle relay team of Karl Weiler, Quin Peterson, Charlie Way and Trevor Gourley is the No. 1 seed after winning the district title in one minute, 30.96 seconds.
Gourley, a senior, is the second seed in the 50 freestyle after edging Lebanon's Casey McEuen in the district meet with a time of 21.59 seconds. Peterson is the No. 8 seed and Way is the 11th seed.
Gourley is also the No. 2 seed in the 100 butterfly.
Peterson is seeded seventh in the 100 free.
CHS freshman Noah Vial is seeded second in the 500 freestyle and third in the 200 freestyle after winning the district titles in both events.
The Spartans are the third seed in the 400 free relay after the team of Weiler, Peterson, Vial and Gourley won the district title in 3:21.79.
Chad Seevers of CV is the sixth seed in the 500 free and the No. 10 seed in the 200 free. Bryce Atha of CHS is the 11th seed in the 500 free.
In the 100 breaststroke, Weiler is seeded 11th and CV's Zee Koh 12th.
CV's Lindsey Soule' is the No. 2 seed in the girls 500 free with Corvallis' Kayla Ashland seeded sixth and Jenny Pinard of CV eighth. Soule' is fourth in the 100 backstroke.
The Crescent Valley girls district champion 200 medley relay team of Pinard, Soule', Reina Watkins and Nicole Koski will be joined by the CHS girls (Karly Vial, Laura Ely, Zoey Rochefort and Mona Wong, who finished fourth in 2:04.84.
Corvallis' 200 free relay (Kayla Witzke, Nyman, Vial and Ashland) is seeded sixth and CV (Bowman, Aubrey Whitty, Koski, Soule') seventh.
CV (Watkins, Whitty, Pinard, Bowman) is the fourth seed in the 400 relay and CHS (Witzke, Rocheford, Nyman, Ashland) fifth.
CV's Chloe Bowman is the sixth seed in the 100 free and the ninth seed in the 200 free.
Ashland is seeded eighth in the 200 IM and teammate Kaarina Nyman is the 10th seed.
Nyman (8), Rochefort (10) and Watkins (11) will all compete in the 100 butterfly.
