TROUTDALE — The Corvallis High wrestling team went 3-0 at the Reynolds Tournament on Saturday.

The Spartans defeated Franklin, 66-12; West Salem, 41-24; and Reynolds B team, 43-42.

Bayarmagnai Oktar went 3-0 at 120 pounds with two pins for CHS.

At 195, Corvallis’ Ryan Hewes had two pins and went 3-0 for the tournament.

Carl Johnson went 2-1 at 138 with two pins and Nicholai Gallegos went 2-1 with a pin at 145 in his first varsity appearance.

“We had young kids out there and competing,” CHS coach Ron Sather said. “It was a good start to the year.”

The Spartans compete next Saturday at the Springfield Tournament.
