ALBANY — The Corvallis High wrestling team had four pins but could not overcome the depth of South Albany in a 56-24 Mid-Willamette Conference dual meet loss.

“They’re pretty strong,” CHS (4-9, 0-5) coach Ron Sather said. “We’ve just got too many holes in the lineup this year.”

Andrew Iademarco improved to 17-2 on the season for CHS with a pin of Dexter Rimer in one minute, 27 seconds and 285.

“He’s just on a roll,” Sather said. “He’s wrestling smart and aggressive.”

Ryan Hewes (195), Daniel Neuffer (182) and Bayarmagnai Oktar (113) also took pins for CHS.

The Spartans are at Tigard for an eight-team tournament on Saturday.
