Feb. 4, 1916 — Jan. 10, 2017

Lois Alladore Thomas of Albany, passed away at her home at Clare Bridge Memory Care on Jan. 10, 2017. She was born in Elwood, Nebraska on Feb. 4, 1916, the daughter of Noah A. and lda (Brown) Rhinehart.

She was married first to Jack Bertrand. They had two daughters. She later married Donald Thomas in 1945. They had three daughters.

She was preceded in death by her husband Donald; her parents; a baby girl at birth; sister Ellen and her husband; brother Thomas and his wife; one grandson, two great-grandsons; one great-granddaughter; brothers-in-law; sisters-in-laws; and other precious family members.

She is survived by daughters Delores Puppo, Ruth Bowen, Donna Thomas and DeAnn Upchurch; 13 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; 34 great-great-grandchildren and one great-great-great-granddaughter; sister Emma Vandenberg; sister-in-law Mary Alice Sapp and many nieces and nephews.

Lois enjoyed walks on the beach and playing bingo and cards with her friends.

A party to celebrate her life and all the changes of the past 100 years will be held at a later date.
