Mannion

Oregon State's Sean Mannion leads the offense against Portland State.

The Civil War will be the final regular-season game for quarterback Sean Mannion and could be the last of his college career.

Mannion is the Pac-12 record holder for career passing yards and threw for 4,662 yards and 37 touchdowns last season and has 3,002 yards going into Saturday’s game.

Needless to say, returning receivers such as Victor Bolden, Richard Mullaney and Jordan Villamin and tight end Caleb Smith with miss Mannion.

“Sean’s a really a great quarterback,” Smith said. “You never really have to worry about the ball being late, the ball being off-target. You just kind of run your route and turn around and it’s there.

“That’s definitely a luxury we’re going to miss, but I think we’ve got some good guys coming up and the offensive line’s going to be a lot better next year with all five guys coming back. I think we’re going to pick up in a good spot next year.”
