Defensive tackle Jalen Grimble wasn’t quite ready to take the field against Arizona State, but the Beavers are expecting him to get some playing time at Washington.
Grimble has been out since suffering a knee injury at USC on Sept. 27.

“The thing about an injury like that is it’s biology that counts. It just takes time,” coach Mike Riley said. “It’s been frustrating because he likes to play and he sat out a whole year a year ago so he could play this year. So you get something like that, he hasn’t played since the SC game and he’s one of our best players.
“I hope that we can get him back and he can play like he’s capable of playing this week and contribute. We’ll need him, I think, to win this game.”
